English for Law

Objectives

Course Contents

The course is divided into thematic units (see: Syllabus). 
Within each unit students will develop a range of specific vocabulary including collocations, phrasal verbs, as well as formal and informal variations for each theme.
Ample opportunity for developing listening and speaking skills is provided via lecture, audio recordings, class discussion, pairwork, role-play, debate, etc., all within the context of the legal sphere. 
Basic English writing skills are included in the coursework, along with their practical application in the form of inter-office memorandums and formal letters.

Enforceability of contracts, breach of contract and remedies
Real Property law

Business entities: types and requirements

Business entities: maintenance, expansion and conclusion
Environmental law
